Did you know that Wagyu is full of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, those same good monounsaturated fats you find in salmon.

A5+ Wagyu beef from Miyazaki prefecture is among the finest and most luxurious brands of beef in the world. A highly sought-after selection of A5+ Japanese Miyazaki Wagyu is Miyazakigyu, which is world-renowned for its intricate, snowflake-like marbling exhibiting a buttery, tender texture that offers an upscale eating experience. All of our A5+ Wagyu comes from the Suekichi Genki Farm in Miyazaki, Japan.

Wagyu cattle are fed for over 600 days on a special diet including wheat, rice, corn, barley and other wholesome foods. Their diet promotes "shimofuri," which is the high quality fat content we refer to as marbling.

Crooked Butcher doesn't use 3rd party resellers or distributors to acquire any of our wagyu, by working directly with the import company we can hand select the best of the best for our customers.

With melt in the mouth flavor, texture and that mystifying umami, WX Australian Wagyu by Rangers Valley brings an eating quality unlike other beef. Known for its  resultant marble score and relentlessly buttery mouthfeel, WX is used all over the world with exciting results.

All WX by Rangers Valley cattle are allowed to develop naturally and are fed slowly over 360 days. This slow feeding process ensures a natural growth rate, maximizing the natural marbling found in Wagyu cross plus consistency and an outstanding flavor.

All WX products are also HGP (hormone growth promoting) free. Instead, our cattle develop naturally without the assistance of added hormones. We believe this natural approach plays a major role in the extremely high eating quality of WX products.

Crooked Butcher has partnered with Prime Valley Farms and Lone Mountain Wagyu to raise and produce the best 100% Full Blood Japanese Black Wagyu beef available.

Having the best Wagyu cattle genetics is one of our highest priorities—second only to producing the highest-quality beef possible. We use only the best 100% Japanese Black Wagyu.

All of our Umami Wagyu is DNA-verified and certified as 100% fullblood Wagyu. But, you may be wondering what the difference is between fullblood, purebred, and crossbred Wagyu. “Fullblood” means that each of our calves comes from a fullblood (100%) Wagyu cow and a fullblood (100%) Wagyu sire. Many other Wagyu in the United States are purebred (93.75%) or crossbred (50-87.5%).

We believe in raising Wagyu cattle without steroids, growth hormones, or unnecessary antibiotics. We feed our Wagyu with a traditional Japanese feeding regimen so we can produce the healthiest beef possible.
